On most occasions, I usually agree with Scott Rabalais. This, however, is not one of those occasions.
I think Rabalais has bought into ESPN’s as well as other rating organizations’ so-called expertise in ranking college football teams. Teams are ranked according to some type of power system when they should be ranked by location, schedule, heart output. Yes, heart output! Having followed LSU football for over 50 years, I can tell you with certainty that not only will this year’s team be successful, but I see only South Carolina and Alabama giving my Tigers a problem. Not beating them, just giving them problems.
Go ahead and laugh, Mr. Rabalais, but keep this letter and reread it in November. Until then, keep up the good work, but please try to believe in our Tigers.
