Recently, Mary Landrieu made some serious allegations concerning Bill Cassidy’s part-time teaching job at LSU, making $50,000 a year on the taxpayer dime. If these allegations are true, then I would venture that many more part-time LSU professors are taking advantage of LSU’s poor record keeping system and many may be overcharging for work they are not doing. Will the investigation only focus on Bill Cassidy or will there be an audit of all part-time LSU professors? How about investigating the entire LSU academic faculty staff including full-time workers? As taxpayers, we need to ensure our money is not being swindled by LSU professors overcharging for work they do not do.
