St. Amant High senior pitcher Blayne Enlow is in that final number for USA Baseball.

Enlow is part of the 20-man USA Baseball 18-under team announced Thursday. He took part in a second set of trials that featured 40 players last weekend in Houston.

The 18-under team heads to COPABE Pan American Games set to begin Sept. 30 in Monterrey, Mexico.

Enlow is the second local player committed to LSU who has played for a USA national team this summer/fall. Cade Doughty of Denham Springs played for the USA 15-under team at its Pan Am games in Iwaki, Japan.

As a junior for St. Amant, Enlow earned Class 5A all-state and all-metro honors. He compiled a 6-4 record with a 1.54 earned run average. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-hander struck out 93 in 63.2 innings.
