The Tulane football team picked up its fifth commitment for 2018 and fourth from Louisiana when McKinley High wide receiver Josh Quiett chose the Green Wave on Monday night.

Quiett, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, announced his decision on Twitter and has the size coach Willie Fritz said he was looking for after watching the success of taller receivers in his first year in the American Athletic Conference.

Quiett had an offer from South Alabama and several FCS schools in addition to Tulane. He joins a pair of St. Augustine players — running back Garland Lafrance and defensive end Juan Monjarres — and Donaldsonville defensive tackle Davon Wright as Louisiana players choosing to stay close to home.
