Jacob Fereday • Division I • Catholic
Pulled off wrestling’s version of the double play by winning the 170-pound weight class at the City and LHSAA Division I tournaments as a senior. Fereday was 50-3 on the season and did not lose to a Louisiana competitor. A three-time City and All-Metro selection, Fereday had a 189-37 career mark.
Camdyn Ingram • Division II • Live Oak
Won his first LHSAA Division II individual title in the 152-pound weight class and claimed a second straight City title. Ingram, a sophomore, finished 65-1 and was undefeated vs. Louisiana competition and was voted to the All-Metro team for the second consecutive season. His two-year record is 122-6.
GRANT RABEL • Division III • Dunham
Made quite a comeback after missing the
2016-17 season with an injury. Rabel made his junior season memorable by winning a second Division III individual title in three years. He finished 15-2 at 195 pounds and also won a City title for first time.
Rabel has a career record of 54-21.

In his 30th year of coaching, Mahoney led the Spartans to their best finish. East Ascension placed second at the BR area’s City tournament and also moved up three spots to place seventh in Division I at the LHSAA tourney. The Spartans had a 37-9 dual-meet record.

Finished with a 57-10 overall record that included Division II and City titles.

Won Division I and City titles while also compiling a 36-10 record for the Bears.
Catholic, Fr., 120 pounds
Claimed a City title, had a 31-18 record along with a third-place Division I finish.

Had a deceptive 33-29 record that included a City title. He placed fifth in Division I.
East Ascension, So., 132 pounds
His 83-5 record set a state record for single-season wins. Was top Division I wrestler at LHSAA tourney.
Catholic, Sr., 138 pounds
Claimed a City title, placed fifth in Division I and finished with a 26-12 record.
St. Michael, Jr., 145 pounds
Two-time Outstanding Wrestler at City meet was 29-12 and a Division III runner-up.
St. Amant, Jr., 160 pounds
Compiled a 73-4 record, was a City champion and placed second in Division I.
St. Michael, Sr., 182 pounds
A year of firsts included City and Division II titles along with a 58-2 record.
Zachary, Jr., 220 pounds
Won a City title for the Broncos and was a Division I runner-up with a 31-6 record.
East Ascension, Sr., 285 pounds
Finished 51-4 for the season, winning a City title and placing second in Division I.
