Riverside Academy Rebels quarterback Jordan Loving (9) against the Newman Greenies during a high school football game at Mike Lupin Field in New Orleans, La. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.

Jordan Loving, a standout high school quarterback from Riverside Academy, has committed to LSU as a walk on, he announced Friday afternoon.

Loving was named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association 2017 Class 2A All-State team.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Loving's best performance of the 2017 season came in a 38-34 loss to Rummel. He threw for 545 yards and four touchdowns.

In January, the Tigers added former Tennessee Tech starter Andre Sale as a transfer. Sale, who transferred into the program as a walk on, went to high school in Arkansas but is from Baton Rouge.

In addition to Sale and Loving, LSU also has quarterback Myles Brennan, Lowell Narcisse and Justin McMillan on its roster.

National signing day is Wednesday. LSU has already signed 21 players; it can sign up to 25.
