Fans still damp from last weekend’s rain-soaked regionial in Alex Box Stadium can take heart: The forecast for Saturday through Monday call for only a slight chance of rain. In fact, the only thing Tiger and Ragin’ Cajun faithful should be sopping up is sweat.
Saturday’s game between LSU and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is scheduled for 7 p.m. The National Weather Service says skies will be mostly clear, with a 5 percent chance of rain, with temperatures starting in the upper 80s and dropping down to the lower 80s as the game progresses. Northeast winds are expected up to 5 mph.
For Sunday, with a game time of 5 p.m or 6 p.m., the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a 15 percent chance of rain. Temperatures will in the lower 90s at game time before dropping to the mid-80s.
Game time has not yet been determined should there be a Monday game. During the day, expect partly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms and highs in the lower 90s. Monday night will be partly cloudy with lows around 70.
