Boys from the Boot, LSU's daylong annual recruiting event, normally results in one or two players giving their commitment to the Tigers.

On Saturday, it produced three.

A trio of Evangel players — defensive tackle Davin Cotton, inside linebacker Micah Baskerville and safety ArDarius Washington — committed to LSU at the event, meant mostly for in-state prospects.

The Shreveport area trio gives LSU 10 commitments for the 2018 class, and the Tigers' class is now at No. 3 in's team rankings. The three posted their commitment announcements on Twitter from the Boys from the Boot event, appearing with coach Ed Orgeron outside and inside the football operations building.

Cotton, 6-foot-1 and 260 pounds, is the No. 20 defensive tackle prospect in the 2018 class and is the No. 6 player in the state, according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

Baskerville (6-2, 215) is the No. 18 inside linebacker in the class and the No. 17 prospect in the state.
