LSU football fans took to the stands on a cool Saturday evening to show their support for Southern football player Devon Gales, who suffered a spinal injury in the Jaguars' loss at the University of Georgia last week.
Gales, who remains hospitalized in Georgia, is able to move his shoulders and wrists, but at this point is unable to move his lower body.
Support for Gales extends far beyong the Sourthern fanbase.
This week light blue stickers adorned with Gales' number, No. 33, were spotted on University of Georgia players' helmets when they faced Alabama Unviersity. Southern athletics and the Southern University System Foundation also started a fund for Gales' medical expenses earlier this week.
