The signing of Brandon Sampson of Madison Prep has college basketball observers thinking that LSU, and not Duke or Kentucky, could have the best freshman class in college basketball next year.

Sampson, who chose LSU over St. John's, joins incoming freshmen Ben Simmons of Montverde Academy and Antonio Blakeney of Oak Ridge High School. That's three players for LSU ranked in the top 40 nationally by ESPN.
