2015 MLB Draft: LSU signees Mitch Piatnik, Jacob Taylor selected by Pittsburgh, Cincinnati; Tigers Kade Scivicque, Jared Foster, Zac Person, Mark Laird, Conner Hale selected too _lowres

The second-highest LSU signee has been selected in the 2015 MLB draft as the Pittsburgh Pirates picked right-handed pitcher Jacob Taylorwith the No. 127 overall pick in the fourth round on Tuesday.

Only three picks after watching Taylor be selected, LSU saw senior catcher Kade Scivicque hear his name called with the No. 130 overall pick by the Detroit Tigers in the fourth round.

Second baseman Jared Foster was selected as 165th overall, in the 5th round, by the Los Angeles Angels.

Those selections come a day after the Houston Astros picked the Tigers' star shortstop Alex Bregman with the second selection in the MLB draft Monday night, making Bregman the second-highest LSU player drafted in the program’s history.

The second LSU signee to be selected in the 2015 MLB draft, shortstop Mitch Piatnik, was taken with the No. 235 overall pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the eighth round.

With the No. 259 overall pick in the ninth round of the 2015 MLB draft, the Houston Astros picked LSU senior left-handed reliever Zac Person.

The fourth LSU player to be taken on day two of the 2015 MLB draft, junior right fielder Mark Lairdd was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies with the No. 264 pick in the ninth round.

Senior third baseman Conner Hale was drafted No. 275 overall to the Seattle Mariners in the ninth round of the 2015 MLB draft.
