Advocate file photo by ANGELA MAJOR -- Offensive graduate assistant Ryan Pugh says some of LSU's five freshmen on the line could have an impact as early as this season.

Reporters were allowed into LSU’s ninth practice of the spring for just a short period Thursday.

Offensive lineman K.J. Malone (unknown) was in a green non-contact jersey during drills, and cornerback Dwayne Thomas (knee surgery) also remained in a green non-contact jersey. Safety Corey Thompson continued to be a no-show at practice.
