Cornerback Donte Jackson became the third different LSU player and second different Tigers defensive back to land on an All-American team. Jackson was named a second team All-American by The Sporting News. 

Jackson joins linebacker Devin White (Football Writers Association, USA Today) and cornerback Greedy Williams (AP) pulling in All-American honors so far.

Jackson, a junior from Marrero who coaches expect to turn pro, started 11 games for the Tigers in 2017. He racked up 45 tackles and 10 pass breakups with an interception. He ranked eighth in the Southeastern Conference in passes defended with 11.

Jackson was also named to the All-SEC coaches second team.
