Guidry, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound 2017 prospect, chose the Tigers over several other offers, including those from Alabama and Georgia. Carter, a Lee County High product from Leesburg, Georgia, is not rated in 247Sports’ rankings. He’s played fullback, defensive end and tight end in high school, but was recruited by LSU as a fullback. Carter became the third catch for Les Miles and the Tigers over the last day. Texas offensive lineman Austin Deculus committed to LSU on Friday.

During Livonia High’s march to the 3A state title game in 2014, Guidry , then a senior, caught 34 passes for 832 yards and 12 touchdowns – his only year at the school. He previously played at Pointe Coupee Central. The school closed after the 2013 football season.

Guidry spent his freshman season at McNeese State, redshirting that year, before leaving for Hinds in January. He will have three season of eligibility and is on track to graduate next spring.
