Dutchtown High safety Justin Reid kept everyone in suspense until he chose Stanford.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Reid, the younger brother of former LSU star and current San Franciso 49ers standout Eric Reid, exploded on the national scene recruiting wise last summer and then helped lead the Griffins to the Class 5A playoffs.

While playing combination safety/linebacker. Reid finished the season with 25 tackles, 231 assists, 7 tackles for loss and 1 interception. He was a first-team All-District 5-5A choice and also made The Advocate’s All-Metro team for Class 5A-4A.
