Four-star recruit Kelvin Joseph decommitted from LSU on Monday, just two days after the Tigers lost 24-21 to Troy on their homecoming.
Joseph, a cornerback and return specialist for local Scotlandville High, was the No. 3 recruit out of Louisiana in the 2018 class and No. 49 nationally, according to 247sports.
Joseph announced his decision via Twitter, adding that LSU remained his No. 1 option moving forward.

“After much thought & consideration,” the post read, “I am decommitting from LSU. My love for the school & admiration for the coaching staff has not changed. Though they remain my number 1 option, I have decided to explore the other opportunities available to me. I appreciate everyone’s patience & understanding as I make this very important decision that will shape the rest of my life.”
Joseph committed to LSU back in February of 2016 and has since been pursued heavily by both Alabama and Clemson.
247sports reported Joseph was on campus for Saturday’s game.
Just two weeks ago Joseph reaffirmed his commitment to LSU following the Hornets game against Central High, in which he returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown.
Christian LaCouture does not want to hear anymore about how LSU coach Ed Orgeron should be fired only five games into the season.
