McNeese State offensive line coach Rob Sale, an ex-LSU lineman, interviewed for the vacant offensive line job at LSU, a source said Thursday.
The job opened Wednesday when LSU parted ways with seventh-year line coach Greg Studrawa.
Sale, a 34-year-old native of Monroe, started 25 games on the offensive line at LSU from 2000-2002, former coach Nick Saban’s first three seasons.
Sale, a Neville High graduate, just completed his second season at McNeese State. Prior to his stint there, he spent five years on Saban’s staff at Alabama as a weight room assistant and offensive video analyst.
