Three of four LSU starters absent from last week's loss to Troy participated in the Tigers' first full-padded practice of the week Tuesday.
Running back Derrius Guice, defensive end Rashard Lawrence and F-back JD Moore worked out with the team, while right tackle Toby Weathersby did not.
Weathersby participated in Monday's pad-less walk-through practice, but he was not present Tuesday during the brief observation window that reporters are allowed. He's sustained an undisclosed injury against Syracuse, it is believed, and did not practice last week or play in the 24-21 loss to the Trojans.
Guice (believed to be left knee), Moore (undisclosed) and Lawrence (ankle) worked out in full gear, with Moore the only of the trio in a gold jersey, signifying limited contact because of injury. The trio missed last week's game. Lawrence said Tuesday that he is playing in the game at Florida on Saturday.
In the aftermath of a shocking loss to three-touchdown underdog Troy on Saturday night, LSU …
- Freshman right guard Ed Ingram, OLB Corey Thompson (stinger), safety John Battle (stinger), TE Caleb Roddy and cornerback Kevin Toliver donned gold jerseys during Tuesday's drills.
- Backup RB Darrel Williams missed a second straight practice. He suffered a knee injury toward the end of LSU's loss to Troy, the school's radio broadcast reported.
- JaCoby Stevens has been moved back to safety, his father confirmed. For a second straight day, the freshman worked with the LSU safeties at practice. He's been moved from safety to receiver in camp, receiver to F-back last week and now is back with the defensive backs. Safety/nickelback Xavier Lewis missed a second straight day of drills, and senior safety Ed Paris is lost for the season with a knee injury.
