Sophomore outfielder Zach Watson was LSU's lone representative on Perfect Game's preseason All-American teams, making the publication's third team.
Watson did not earn regular playing time until midway through the regular season, but quickly turned into a force in the LSU lineup, leading the team with a .317 batting average while hitting nine home runs and driving in 37 runs.
This is Watson's second preseason All-American honor. He was also named to Collegiate Baseball's second team in December.
Southeastern Louisiana third baseman Taylor Schwaner was the only other Louisiana player represented on Perfect Game's preseason All-America teams, joining Watson on the third team.
