LSU’s SEC basketball slate unveiled _lowres

LSU men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones will be one of the guests of ESPN basketball analyst Andy Katz on a special 90-minute edition of Katz Corner that will air at 7:30 p.m. Friday on ESPNU.

Jones will appear in the first 30 minutes of the show in a segment will also include three fellow NCAA coaches — Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim. St. Joseph’s Phil Martelli and New Mexico’s Craig Neal.

The show’s segments were taped Wednesday at a hotel in North Augusta, South Carolina, where the Nike Peach Jam is being held this weekend.

Jones is entering his third season as the head coach of the Tigers after winning 20 games last year and advancing to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.

Jones is the first LSU men’s basketball coach in the Southeastern Conference era to produce winning seasons in each of his first two seasons as head coach at the school.
