When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, brothers and LSU running backs Leonard and Lanard Fournette were stuck for four days on the Claiborne Avenue Bridge.

In an interview with ESPN, the brothers, then 10 and 8, recall what they witnessed over the days and months following Katrina. The family had to continually wade through waist-deep water to find food. Lanard remembers seeing a dead body "laying there for days" close to where the family slept.

"It was right there," he tells EPSN. "That messed my head up."
