Vic Viloria, a Louisiana native and the former head strength coach at Florida State, has joined Tommy Moffitt's staff at LSU, a source confirmed to The Advocate.
Viloria, previously a strength coach under Moffitt in Baton Rouge, spent the past eight seasons with the Seminoles under coach Jimbo Fisher, helping the program win multiple conference crowns and the 2013 national title.
He did not move to Texas A&M with Fisher and was not retained by new FSU head coach Willie Taggart. Viloria had a stop at SMU between his stint at LSU and Florida State. Viloria replaces Ben Iannacchione, who left to be the director of sports performance at Wyoming.
Viloria played high school football at John Curtis. FootballScoop.com reported last month that Viloria had interviewed for a position on Moffitt's staff.
LSU’s coaching staff is complete.
