Running back Derrius Guice is back.
LSU's star junior returned to practice Tuesday and Wednesday. Reporters were not allowed to view Tuesday's practice, but were allowed into drills Wednesday, where Guice was spotted in full gear.
Joining Guice in returning to practice were fellow tailbacks Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Lanard Fournette. Both players missed a few bowl practices. Guice missed a handful of practices last week while nursing an injury, coach Ed Orgeron said.
A notable absence Wednesday was starting guard Ed Ingram.
LSU will conduct a practice Thursday before leaving that afternoon for the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The Tigers meet Notre Dame on Jan. 1.
Other practice observations
- Outside linebacker Michael Divinity and edge rusher Ray Thornton donned gold jerseys at practice, which limits contact because of injury. Divinity has been wearing a gold jersey. Thornton is new to donning a gold jersey.
- WR Stephen Sullivan also donned a gold jersey.
Ed Orgeron does not regret using one of his precious 25 spots in the 2018 signing class on a kicker, even though it left LSU “tight” on number…
Arden Key hasn't made any official announcement as to whether he'll return to LSU next season or enter the NFL draft.
