Looks like the son of one of the most famous LSU athletes of all time won't be a Tiger.
According to 247sports, Shareef O'Neal — the son of LSU alum Shaquille O'Neal — is picking between three schools he really likes: Michigan State, Duke and Kentucky.
And if it was up to dad, he'd become a Wildcat.
"My dad actually wants me to lean towards Kentucky," O'Neal told 247Sports. ""He has a good friendship with the coach there. I know a lot about that school."
O'Neal holds offers from Baylor, Kansas State, California, UCLA, USC and LSU.
But on a recent podcast, Shaq said he'd prefer his son not play at his alma mater, saying that, "I want him to create his own path."
O'Neal is ranked 25th by 247sports and 51st by ESPN in the 2018 class. He is 6-foot-9 and 204 pounds.
