One of Louisiana’s top recruits will announce his plans to sign with either LSU or Auburn on national signing day.

Archbishop Rummel wide receiver recruit JaMarr Chase made the announcement on social media late Wednesday, tweeting “feb.. 7.”

Feb. 7 is national signing day, when top football recruits from around the nation will make their college choices official. 

Chase decommitted from the University of Florida in November, shortly after the Gators opted to move on from head coach Jim McElwain.

Chase finished his senior season with school single-season records of 61 receptions good for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns. It was the first 1,000-yard season recorded by a Raiders receiver. He also finished as Rummel’s career leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns with 115 catches good for 2,152 yards and 30 touchdowns.

The Tigers signed 21 players during the early signing period last month and received a commitment from Scotlandville Magnet safety Kelvin Joseph earlier this month, giving the school 22 of a maximum 25 players in the 2018 class
