A week after being selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, former LSU running back Leonard Fournette presented his mother, Lory, with a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle, and shared a video of the moment on Twitter.

Fournette was selected with the No. 4 pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 27, putting him in line for a multi-million-dollar signing bonus as well as a lucrative salary and endorsement contracts.

Forbes magazine projected Fournette would receive a nearly $18 million signing bonus and a rookie contract worth $27 million.

Fournette, a New Orleans native and high school sensation at St. Augustine, signed in December with the professional sports agency Roc Nation Sports, a sub-division of Roc Nation, the New York-based agency home to critically acclaimed recording artists like Rihanna, Shakira and J. Cole.
