VALPARAISO — A 38-year-old Portage man faces a felony count of sexual battery based on allegations of repeatedly inappropriately touching a female employee.

The employee told police her boss, Sami Kamleh has become "more creepy" over the last six months and has touched her inappropriately several times, according to charging information.

The woman said she repeatedly told Kamleh to stop grabbing her, but he continued to do so when they were alone, according to police.

The employee reportedly told police she has digital recordings of Kamleh making inappropriate sexual comments.

Police said they spoke with Kamleh three years ago about similar allegations and that he remembered. He admitted to speaking about sex and making sexual innuendos to the woman, but said that they "talk like that," according to police.

He denied making any physical contact with the employee, police said.

Kamleh is charged with a single count of sexual battery.

The case has been assigned to Porter Superior Court Judge Roger Bradford and bond was posted at $1,500 cash, according to court records.
