The Entergy IMAX Theater at the foot of Canal Street is part of the non-profit Audubon Nature Institute, and it seldom has the opportunity to show major Hollywood films on what is the the largest IMAX screen on the Gulf Coast. Beginning on Friday, Dec. 26 and running through Sunday, Feb. 1 will be daily 5 p.m. screenings of director Christopher Nolan's sc-fi epic Interstellar. Inspired by the work of celebrated theoretical physicist Kip Thorne and featuring imaginative and technically advanced renderings of outer space phenomena like black holes, Interstellar is an ideal fit for the Entergy. Tickets and additional info are available here. Read our review of the film here.
