Our cover story this week is all about how you can help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, and we've got something new to add: On Sun. Sept. 17, the Barman's Fund of Louisiana will team up with House of Blues for a concert with 100 percent of the sales from tickets being donated directly to the Houston Food Bank, Saint Bernard Project and Live Nation’s Taking Care of our Own Employee Relief fund. Donations also will be collected for Second Harvest, the local partner of the Houston Food Bank.
Big Freedia, Fred LeBlanc, John “Papa” Gros, Shannon McNally, Irvin Mayfield, Bucktown Allstars and DJ Raj Smoove will be on the mainstage, with performances in the Voodoo Garden by Ponyspace, Alex McMurray, Kim Carson, Lynn Drury, Susan Cowsill and Carson Station.
General admission is $25, with VIP packages available for $200. Tickets are on sale now. [location-1]
