The VCPORA (Vieux Carré Property Owners, Residents, and Associates, Inc.) is having a D.A. debate/forum this Wednesday at the Royal Orleans Hotel in the French Quarter, moderated by WWL-TV's Dennis Woltering. It's free and open to the public, and all four D.A. candidates -- Linda Bizzaro (I), Leon Cannizzaro (D), Ralph Capitelli (D), and Jason Williams (D) will be in attendance.

"We would love to have a standing-room-only crowd," says VCPORA president Meg Lousteau. "The candidates will be doing a meet-and-greet from 6-6:50 pm, and you can ask them questions there. And you can also give your questions to Dennis during that time."

The forum itself rolls from 7-8 pm.

If you can't make it, but have your own questions for the wannabe D.A.s, email Meg at and she'll pass 'em on to Dennis.

(Whoops - edited to add: the forum is also being sponsored by French Quarter Citizens and the Lower Quarter Crime Watch.)
