Review: Mink Stole at AllWays Lounge_lowres

Mink Stole, the actress and singer best known for her roles in many of John Waters' movies, will bring back her cabaret show to the AllWays Lounge May 23 and 24.

Stole has performed in New Orleans several times before, both in support of her album "Do Re Mink" and with her off-Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' play "The Mutilated," which had a staging at the Contemporary Arts Center in 2015. She's probably best known, however, for her roles in Waters' movies like "Serial Mom" (in which she played a neighbor hilariously terrorized by Kathleen Turner) and "Female Trouble," where she played Taffy, the monumentally bratty daughter of Divine.

Stole will perform with music men Harry Mayronne Jr. and Dr. Sick. General admission tickets both nights are $20, with a $40 VIP package available that includes reserved seating, a meet-and-greet and a signed headshot.
