Jazz & Heritage Foundation announces free concert series_lowres

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the nonprofit owner of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, announced a free concert series, beginning with James Rivers Movement Saturday, Sept. 16 and running through July 2018. Events take place at the foundation's George and Joyce Wein Heritage Center (1225 N. Rampart St.) on Saturday nights staggered through the year. Performers include Donald Harrison Jr., Astral Project, Helen Gillet with Leyla McCalla and others. The lineup heavily features jazz musicians but includes into other genres as well. Most concerts begin at 8 p.m. and generally feature two sets. The full lineup is below.
