After making the announcement that he was suspending his presidential campaign, Gov. Bobby Jindal and his wife, Supriya, shared an emotional moment, according to a report.
After his Fox News interview with Bret Baier, Jindal “dropped his head sadly and pulled his earpiece out,” the Washington Post reported. He then met with Supriya Jindal in the hall, and her eyes filled with tears.
When asked if she wanted to comment, she “put her finger to her mouth as if she was zipping it up and shook her head no.”
The Post also reported that Jindal has not given much thought to a possible endorsement for one of the remaining Republican presidential candidates.
Jindal dropped out of the race Tuesday, saying that he has “come to the realization that it’s just not my time.”
His top campaign advisers said he will focus the next two months on addressing “Louisiana issues,” though they didn’t specify what his plans could entail.
He is expected to meet with reporters at the Governor’s Mansion Wednesday morning.
