Paul McCartney’s June 19 show at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans has been moved to Oct. 11. It’s one of six U.S. shows originally scheduled for June 14- 26 but now postponed until October. Tickets for the original June dates will be honored in October.
McCartney, who turns 72 on June 18, is set to resume his world tour July 5 in Albany, N.Y.
In May, McCartney contracted a viral infection that forced him to cancel tour dates in Japan and Korea.
“I’m sorry but it’s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again,” he said in a statement about the delayed U.S. dates. “I’m feeling great but taking my docs’ advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.”
