titus andronicus

Twentysomething William Shakespeare, fresh off a series of popular, patriotic history plays, rocketed to stardom with the grotesquely savage “Titus Andronicus,” largely considered his most horrifying tragedy.

See 'Em On Stage presents the tale of General Titus Andronicus, who returning to Rome victorious in battle against the hated Goths, brings as prisoners Tamora, the alluring and ruthless Queen of the Goths, her villainous lover, and her three brutal sons. Despite Tamora’s pleadings, Titus sacrifices her eldest son to appease the ghosts of his dead sons, thereby initiating a cycle of violent events that races to a vicious conclusion.

Director Christopher Bentivegna says his production “will be utilizing magic, custom-made prosthetics and gallons of fake blood to bring this classic tale of murder and revenge to life just in time for the Halloween season.”

Bentivegna directs a cast including Ron Gural, Trina Beck, Mary Pauley, Levi Hood and Kali Russell.

This production is not appropriate for children under 16.
