Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts, 325 Minor St., Kenner, announced its lineup of productions for the 2016-2017 season.
Upcoming shows include:
“Let The Good Times Roll,” Sept. 9-25, directed by Rich Arnold. Classic songs and choreography from doo-wop, Motown and rock ’n’ roll.
“1776,” Nov. 4-20, directed by A.J. Allegra. Tony Award-winning musical puts a human face on history.
“Billy Elliot, the Musical,” Jan. 13-29, 2017, directed by Kelly Fouchi. A struggling youth in England goes from the boxing ring to the ballet stage. Score by Elton John.
“The 39 Steps,” March 10-26, 2017, directed by Ricky Graham. Comedy spoof of the classic Hitchcock film.
“Bye Bye Birdie,” May 5-21, 2017, directed by Gary Rucker. 1950’s rock ’n’ roll musical comedy featuring “Put on A Happy Face” and other classic songs.
“The Little Mermaid,” July 13-23, 2017, directed by Ricky Graham. Summer family musical is based on the Disney animated film.
