Roughly 10 months after it opened its taproom in a riverfront warehouse in Old Arabi, 40 Arpent Brewing announced it would be closing its doors and shutting down the taps.
The small brewery, run at 6809 N. Peters Street, will discontinue its beer production that it has maintained since 2013. The closure was effective as of 4 p.m. on Thursday
"It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully inform you that ... 40 Arpent Brewing Company will close its doors and no longer produce some of the best Louisiana Beer made," read a post from the company on Facebook. "We would like to thank our Friends, Families, and Fans ... for your support over the years."
It was unclear exactly what prompted the business's decision to close.
