Carnival kicks off Saturday in New Orleans on Twelfth Night, the official opening of the Mardi Gras season.

There'll be three parades in the city. Here's info on each parade, including its start time and route.

St. Joan of Arc (French Quarter walking parade) at 6 p.m.

Where: Starts at the corner of Toulouse and Decatur streets, winds around the French Quarter and ends at approximately 8:30 p.m. at Washington Artillery Park

Phunny Phorty Phellows (streetcar parade) at 7 p.m.

Where: Start is at Willow Street Car Barn, Uptown

Societé de Champs Elyseé (streetcar parade); 7:30 p.m.

Where: Pre-party at Buffa’s Bar and Restaurant (1001 Esplanade Ave.); ride starts at Elysian Fields Station, ball at Siberia Lounge (2227 St. Claude Ave.)
