When New Orleans bride-to-be Elyse Sears began her search for a wedding gown, she headed to the well-known Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City.

Kleinfeld is the location for long-running TLC series, “Say Yes to the Dress,” which follows brides on the hunt for that perfect dress, or dresses.

Sears’ experience will be part of a Friday episode. In the episode, Sears will learn the hard way to watch who accompanies you to the bridal appointment, as her mother, Julia Sears, and friends Brittany Crockett and Tosha Woods are quick with the critiques.

While Elyse Sears dreams of wearing a mermaid cut gown with lots of tulle, her mother and friends have other ideas.

With consultant Debbie Asprea’s assistance, will she find a dress she can say “yes” to?

Meanwhile, former Louisianian and Kleinfeld fashion director Randy Fenoli gives a shout-out to his homestate.

On meeting the future bride, he says, “So I hear you’re from Louisiana. Me too!”

The episode airs at 8:30 p.m. TLC is on cable Channel 48 in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, and cable Channel 5 in New Orleans.
