“CHEF”: A chef played by Jon Favreau quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his culinary integrity. The restaurant’s owner (Dustin Hoffman) regroups by teaming up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara) and friend (John Leguizamo) to launch a food truck. Favreau also directs.
“LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN”: Based on the books by Roger Stanton Baum, great-grandson of “Oz” originator L. Frank Baum, this 3-D animated musical continues the story of Dorothy’s adventures. “HATESHIP LOVESHIP”: In her first dramatic role, Kristen Wiig plays a shy housekeeper hired to care for Mr. McCauley (Nick Nolte) and his granddaughter, Sabitha (Hailee Steinfeld).
