“CHEF”: A chef played by Jon Favreau quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his culinary integrity. The restaurant’s owner (Dustin Hoffman) regroups by teaming up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara) and friend (John Leguizamo) to launch a food truck. Favreau also directs.

“LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN”: Based on the books by Roger Stanton Baum, great-grandson of “Oz” originator L. Frank Baum, this 3-D animated musical continues the story of Dorothy’s adventures. Voice talent includes Lea Michele (“Glee”) as Dorothy, Dan Aykroyd as the Scarecrow, Jim Belushi as the Lion, Kelsey Grammer as the Tin Man and Bernadette Peters as Glinda.

“NEIGHBORS”: Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne play young parents who, along with their newborn child, are forced to live next to a fraternity house. Zac Efron co-stars.

“ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE”: In this drama written and directed by Jim Jarmusch and set amidst the desolation of Detroit and Tangier, Adam, a depressed underground musician, reunites with his resilient, enigmatic lover, Eve. Adam and Eve’s enduring love story is disrupted by Ava, Eve’s wild, uncontrollable younger sister. Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton and Mia Wasikowska star.

“HATESHIP LOVESHIP”: In her first dramatic role, Kristen Wiig plays a shy housekeeper hired to care for Mr. McCauley (Nick Nolte) and his granddaughter, Sabitha (Hailee Steinfeld). Sabitha’s father (Guy Pearce) is a recovering drug addict. Showing at 9 p.m. May 9-15 at Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center, 1618 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.
