Classic British invasion band The Zombies will play the first New Orleans show in the band’s history March 12 at House of Blues.

The Zombies released the hits “She’s Not There,” “Tell Her No” and “Time of the Season” in the 1960s. The group’s 1967 album, “Odessey and Oracle,” is considered a classic now, but it was a commercial failure upon its original release. The band’s 1969 hit, “Time of the Season,” a song from “Odessey and Oracle,” became a hit 18 months after the group’s breakup in 1967.

The current Zombies lineup features original members Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone. Argent and Blunstone have been almost continuously active in music since The Zombies disbanded, but their projects were not always heard in the U.S. Blunstone and Argent reunited in 1999. Originally billing themselves as Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, by popular demand they soon began performing again as The Zombies.

The Zombies’ New Orleans debut is being presented by The Ponderosa Stomp Foundation in association with House of Blues.
