Alumni Association Chairman Brock Anderson asks all those interested in participating to sign up by Monday, Oct. 5. Entry forms are available on the school’s website, www.stcharlescatholic.org.

Each team’s head chef must be an SCC alumnus. Contestants must supply their own ingredients or secure a sponsor to pay for the ingredients. The contestants also will do all of their own cooking. The school will provide all serving dishes and utensils. Food may be cooked off site but should be cooked on the day of the event.

All entries must be complete, delivered to St. Charles Catholic High School and ready to be served by 5:30 p.m. Contestants must serve their dishes until 7:30 p.m. or until the pot is empty. Chefs wishing to cook at the school may do so beginning at 10 a.m. Cooking booths will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Accompanying dishes, such as rice or pasta, also must be provided by the contestants but may be prepared off site. Each recipe should produce at least 100 servings.

Judges will include New Orleans Saints special teams coach Greg McMahon. A first-place chef’s paddle decorated by SCC’s art class will be awarded. The event is open to the public. The cost is $5 for one bowl or $10 for four taster bowls. For information, or to sign up, visit stcharlescatholic.org or email Courtney Millet at millet.courtney@stcharlescatholic.org.
