High tea in the gymnasium capped off a unit on European countries for students in Juli Hartley’s world geography classes at John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge. Long white tables were lined with hot teas and an array of traditional European teatime snacks, including homemade scones, biscotti, cucumber sandwiches and crumpets and jam. “I had never tried flavored hot teas or several of the other food items before, so it was a great experience,” 10th-grader Matthew Perniciaro said. “After learning about the European culture, it was cool to actually experience it today with all of my friends.’’
