Four armed robberies — in Bywater, the 7th Ward and New Orleans East and on South Carrollton Avenue — were reported within three hours Saturday night. New Orleans police made quick arrests in two of the cases.

The first robbery was reported about 8:50 p.m. at the Shell gas station in the 3100 block of South Carrollton. A man entered with a gun, demanded money from the female cashier and left after receiving it, police said.

About 9 p.m., a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were getting out of a vehicle at Burgundy and Poland streets in the Bywater neighborhood when they were approached by three teenagers. One of the three had a gun and demanded the keys to the vehicle; then all three got in it and drove off, the report in that case states.

The teens — ages 13, 14 and 15 — were arrested a short time later, police said. Their names were not released because of their ages.

About an hour later, a 50-year-old man was walking near North Dorgenois and Columbus streets in the 7th Ward when he was approached by a man who implied that he had a weapon, a police report states. He demanded the victim’s money and keys, then drove off in the vehicle when he received them.

Finally, about 11:45 p.m., an 18-year-old was sitting in his vehicle near Foxcroft Drive and Winchester Park Drive in New Orleans East when he was approached by a man later identified as 17-year-old Corey Patton, police said. Patton displayed a gun and demanded the victim get out of the vehicle, the police report states.

As the victim did so, a 14-year-old boy walked up. A second gunman then emerged and demanded the younger teen’s belongings. Patton then drove off in the first victim’s vehicle, with the second gunman following in a separate vehicle, police said.

Officers in the area spotted the stolen vehicle and began to chase it. It crashed, and Patton was arrested, police said.

A juvenile female told police that she had been sexually assaulted, according to the initial police report.

Man cuts woman in domestic dispute

A 44-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly cut a woman in a domestic argument Saturday morning in the 1900 block of Joliet Street in Carrollton, New Orleans police said.

Darrick Bernard was arguing with the victim, also in her early 40s, about 7:45 a.m. when he got a knife from the kitchen and cut her, the initial police report states.
