JPSO seeks suspect after Jesuit High School baseball field burglarized again Wednesday _lowres

The Jesuit High School baseball field at 100 Blue Jay Way in Metairie was burglarized Wednesday night, the latest in a series of thefts that Jefferson Parish officials say are likely related.

Several businesses, including the school's John Ryan Stadium and Anthony’s Landscaping at 300 L and A Road, have been burglarized in the area since July 2015, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Thursday.

Additional details on Wednesday night’s burglary were not immediately available.

Investigators have been unable to determine a pattern in the incidents, but “feel certain the suspect may be one and the same,” JPSO said in the release. The suspect appears to be acting alone.

The Sheriff’s Office released two photos from surveillance footage of nearby businesses Thursday. The suspect appears to be a male with a thin build, brown eyes and facial hair, JPSO said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact JPSO at (504) 364-5300 or Crimestoppers.
