Jefferson deputies seek suspect in 16-year-old’s death _lowres

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking Joharri Walker, 19, of 1021 Carmadelle Street in Marrero, in the Tuesday afternoon shooting death of 16-year-old Stefan Johnson on Martin Drive in Marrero.

Walker, who is considered armed and dangerous, is wanted on a count of second-degree murder, Col. John Fortunato said in a press release.

Walker has an extensive prior criminal history with multiple arrests for second-degree murder, illegal possession of marijuana, battery of a police officer, resisting arrest by violence, criminal damage, theft of goods, criminal trespassing, illegal carrying of a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance with violence along with illegal use of a weapon, Fortunato said.
