Update: Missing Mandeville woman found dead in her vehicle Sunday in New Orleans _lowres

New Orleans police area are seeking help in finding Haley Saltaformaggio -- a Mandeville woman who was last seen Friday in the French Quarter.


Update, 7:30 p.m. March 27, 2016:

Haley Saltaformaggio, a Mandeville woman missing since Friday, was found dead in her vehicle late Sunday afternoon, New Orleans police said.

Officers found Saltaformaggio, 31, unresponsive in her locked vehicle around 5 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot in the 2500 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.

A handgun was found in the front seat, police said. She suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.

Cause of death has not been determined.

Update, 11:09 a.m.; March, 27, 2016

New Orleans police said detectives have learned Haley Saltaformaggio was last seen in the Mid City area, near Carrollton Avenue and Canal Street, this past Friday at about 6:15 p.m.

Saltaformaggio’s date of birth is July 3, 1984.

New Orleans police are seeking help in finding a Mandeville woman who was last seen Friday in the French Quarter.

According to NOPD, Haley Saltaformaggio left Mandeville on Friday in her silver 2014 Honda Accord with Louisiana license plate YLU541 and drove to New Orleans to meet up with friends.

Saltaformaggio was last seen about 4 p.m. Friday leaving the area of St. Peter and Bourbon streets. She's described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall, about 130 pounds with brown eyes and dirty blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a sleeveless beige tunic top, blue jeans and black ballet slippers while carrying a Michael Kors purse.
