Two separate fights resulting in stabbings and an aggravated rape were reported in New Orleans on Sunday.

The first stabbing occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and St. Charles avenues. New Orleans police said a 34-year-old man and a 58-year-old man -- identified as Daral McGee -- got into a verbal altercation. The 56-year-old man was armed with a pocket knife and stabbed the other man. He was arrested.

The other stabbing incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 300 block of Poydras Street.

NOPD said a 39-year-old man got into a physcial altercation with a Charles McGlaun, 51, who stabbed the victim. McGlaun was arrested.

Earlier in the day, around 6:30 p.m., NOPD said a 26-year-old woman reported she was sexually assaulted in the 400 block of Canal Street.
