The Whitney Bank in the 600 block Gravier Street in New Orleans Central Business District was robbed Monday evening, New Olreans Police said.

The robbery was reported around 4:30 p.m., police said.

A man walked up to the teller and gave her a note saying to give him money and that there was a bomb in the bag. The teller complied, and the man left the bag and fled from the location.

Several FBI agents were on the scene, and police blocked the 600 block of Gravier Street.

NOPD's bomb squad searched the bag. No bomb was found.
