A coach at Girard Playground in Metairie was arrested Saturday after accusations of sexual abuse involving three boys in about 2003, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Col. John Fortunato said.

James Prince, 44, of Metairie, was arrested after two brothers told investigators about alleged incidents in 2003, when one boy was 8 or 9 and the other 10 or 11, while Prince was a coach at the playground, Fortunato said.

They said Prince showed them pornographic movies and asked them to perform sexual acts, Fortunato said. The younger victim told police that Prince performed oral sex on him.

A third young male also reported that Prince sexually abused him, Fortunato said. The third victim also said Prince once filmed sexual acts between him and the other boys.

Prince admitted to knowing the victims when he was questioned, Fortunato said. He was booked at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on one count of aggravated rape and three counts of sexual battery.
